Meet Neha

Neha lives in Houston, Texas with her husband and two beautiful children; a 3 1/2 year old boy and 8 month old girl.  As the owner of two businesses, she strives to empower women and help them succeed.

Q: Why did you become an Entrepreneur?

A: Before starting my first business 4 years ago I was commuting 90 minutes everyday. I quickly realized the life I was building, wasn’t the life I wanted, especially as we were planning to have our first baby.  Although I was hesitant to open my own business, I knew it could offer me the lifestyle I wanted and that I would be successful.  With the incredible support of my husband, I founded RecruiGyan, and after hustling, landed a Fortune 30 client.  From there I built the business to a healthy six figures, all while being a mom.  Last year, I started The Sleepy Cub because of my desire to help parents and give back to the community, as we give a portion of all our profits to a local women’s shelter.

Q: Tell us about your business.

A: The Sleep Cub offers pediatric sleep consulting packages for kids aged 0-5 years. I work with parents all over the globe to instill healthy sleep hygiene and empower them to make changes that help them be happier and well rested.

Q: What is your personal mission, or your big why?

A: My personal mission is to empower women.  I do that by helping parents be at their healthiest so that they form strong bonds with their kids and supporting our local Women’s shelter.

Q: How do you integrate work and home?

A: I prioritize and I delegate.  When looking at my to-do list, I complete tasks in order of priority.  I also delegate to my team so I can focus on the big picture and spend time with my family.  It has been hard for me to learn how to delegate, but I have learned healthy ways of sharing my work without being completely removed from the process.

Q: What has been your biggest lesson to date as a business owner?

A: It is important to make time spend with family. I am a Type A personality and I like everything to be done perfectly, but I have learned how to give myself time without getting overwhelmed.

My Key Take-aways:

  • Entrepreneurship offers the amazing opportunity to give back to the community
  • Learning how to delegate can allow mompreneurs to experience the work-life balance they are looking for
